சிறுமணவூர், நிரஞ்சீஸ்வரர் ஆலயத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள தனிப்பலகை சிற்பமாக 6ஆம் நூற்றாண்டைச் சேர்ந்த கொற்றவை காணப்படுகிறாள். சங்க இலக்கியங்களில் பாய் கலை பாவை என்று குறிப்பிடும் இவடிவத்தில் மான் வாகனத்துடன், அக்னி கிரீடம் பூண்டு, கரங்களில் கத்தி, வில், திரிசூலம், கேடயம், அம்பு, சங்கு, சக்கரம் போன்ற ஆயுதங்களை தாங்கி, கிளியுடன் காணப்படும் இவ்வன துர்க்கையின் பாதத்தின் அருகே நவகண்டம் கொடுக்க தயார் நிலையில் உள்ள வீரன் காணப்படுகிறான்.

Kotravai (Korrawai), also spelt Korravai or Kotravai and is the goddess of war and victory in the Tamil traditions. Tamil Sangam literature documents Goddess Kotravai. The name of Kotravai came from the Tamil word ‘Korram’, which means Bravery, Victory, Success. Blackbuck (Kalaimaan) is the vehicle of the Kotravai. Tamil poems Netunalvatai, Maturaikkanci, Porunararruppatai, and Pattinappalai and Tamil epic Silappadikaram mention Kotravai. As a god with several arms carrying different weapons, Kotravai is depicted.

In Niranjeeswarar Temple, Kotravai carvings belonging to the 6th century is found in a separate stone slab. Blackbuck is standing behind Kotravai, and she carries war tools in her hand. To the bottom-right side of Kotravai, a war hero is carved depicting he is ready to sacrifice himself.
