எழில்மிகு தர்மதாரா லிங்கம்!

முப்பத்திரண்டு(32) பட்டைகளுடன் காட்சி தரும் பல்லவர் கால எழில்மிகு தர்மதாரா லிங்கம். 8 அல்லது 9ஆம் நூற்றாண்டு காலத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவை என்று நம்பப்படுகிறது. சிற்ப சாஸ்திரத்தின் விதிப்படி, தாராலிங்கங்கள் ஐந்து வகைப்படும் என்று கூறுகிறது. அதாவது 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 என்ற விகிதத்தில் பட்டைகள் /தாரைகள் அமைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்.

Beautiful Dharmadara Linga!

Thirty-two (32) striped Pallava period Dharmadara Linga and the scholars believe to date to the 8th or 9th century. Shastra says that there are five types of Dhara Linga. Based on the number of stripes, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, the Dhara Linga was carved.
